Fashion District NW

Fashion District NW was developed by David Baily a fashion photographer in Seattle. The idea behind Fashion District NW was to create a fashion resource for those interested in fashion who live in the Pacific Northwest. The target markets were Seattle Washington, Portland Oregon and Vancouver BC. Along with providing traditional fashion news and blogs the website serves as a hub for information and professional resources. A comprehensive resource directory was built to offer visitors the professional links they are looking for. FDNW also serves as a springboard for those looking for a career in fashion and showcases the various schools that offer fashion related programs etc.

NW Fashion Event Countdown Calendar

Fashion District NW is a team player and decided to develop and deploy an event calendar that would showcase all of the fashion related events taking place in the Pacific Northwest. Fashion District NW Model Scout Event Ad Take 1

Model scouting events are common in the fashion industry to find the right girls with the right stuff. Designers are very specific and usually request specific body types for pieces they have designed so the model scouting events are an attempt to find those models. These advertisements depict the process each model goes through on the day of the scouting event.

Fashion District NW Website Announcement

Six months before the launch of the Fashion District website we launched a 15 second advertisement to announce a new fashion entity was on its way and would arrive in early 2017.

Cars & Couture Announcement

6 months before the event we needed to announce the upcoming Cars and Couture fashion show on July 22nd. The motion graphic ad here was created months before the photoshoot, design direction and campaign were nailed down, so the look and feel of this ad are very different from the actual marketing campaign.

Modeling 101 Advertisement Take 1

Once of FDNW's first programs was to teach new models how to be profesional model and earn a respectable reputation and continue to work. Modeling 101 was developed to give the those fresh young faces the knowledge to excel. This first ad was used for a short period of time until it was determined it was too sexy so a second version was created that appeared more innocent.

Logo, Brand and Style Guide Design and Development

The first project with FDNW was to develop a brand, logo and style guide. The primary logo is the Fashion District NW but additional variations were designed to support events in the three other cities Fashion District NW has a presence. You will notice we used the 3 letter abreviations for each of the three while maintaining the established look and feel of the primary logo. A style guide was also created to ensure that the brand was properly deployed.
